DATE:       June 15, 2002

TIME:        4:00 A.M.

LOCATION:   Cantwell, Alaska, George  Parks  Highway
 

TERRAIN:     Mountains,   Heavy  willows & open tundra
 

OBSERVED:  Bigfoot encountered 4:00 am.   Driver northbound
observed creature crossing the highway about 1 mile in front of his
vechicle. The creature then entered into the willows. The driver then
said he stopped his vehicle where he saw the creature enter the bush.
He grabbed his camera following after it hoping to get pictures.
He stated he heard no sounds of breaking brush nor could he see
or find any trail. The creature had vanished.

He looked, listened for about 20 minutes, searched the area but could
not find any sign. He then went back out to the road, flagged down a
couple who had stopped.  The couple had witnessed the encounter also.
The driver spoke with the couple for a moment, they remained
at the scene while the driver went on into Cantwell about 7
miles north. He stopped at the gas station and told the first
person he saw what he had wittnessed. As he was explaining his
story to the local gentleman the couple from Indiana passed by
beeping their horn. The local gentleman was left to ponder
had this young man actually encountered a Bigfoot?

Strange as it may be, he had wittnesses who also claimed to have
seen the very same thing. The driver said he would report the sighting
as soon as he got to work.  I'm the local he met at the gas stop.
The couple from Indiana ? Im sure they will tell someone else too.
A report was called into Alaska Fish & Game as well..
