OBSERVED: My nephew and I were riding 4-Wheelers late that night. We often rode at night. On one night sometime in November of 1998 we had parked our bikes and were taking a break. As we were talking a loud and really terrifying noise came from just down the old logging road that we were on.
Both of us are familar with the sounds of nearly all animals from this area, but this was a sound unlike anything we had heard. Keep in mind that we both had rode at night for years and were not the type to be easily scared. We are not children either, I am 41 and he is 35. After the first scream , we both just sat there and asked the other what the hell was that. Then it hollered again.
This time it sounded really mad. We continued to sit there for a while longer until we decided to turn our bikes around and go back in the opposite direction. To this day i still dont know what it was we heard . But it was scarey enough to force two grown men to turn around and go back in the other direction.
