OBSERVED:      I was hunting deer on a hunting lease i have and had the overwhelming
feeling of being watched as i sat in my tree stand. after awhile i thought that i could here
something moving in a circular route around me. when the sounds got just north of me and
around twenty yds upwind i could smell a strong musk like odor. it circled me several times as
i caught the smell on at least four occasions. well it seemed to go away and as light was
starting to fade i begrudgeingly realized i would have to come down and head back to my
truck parked about three hundred yds away. i had my rifle a 300 winchester magnum with me but
it seemed kinda insignificant to try in use in the near dark conditions i was in. i got down
and started back to the truck and after about fifty yds i could smell it again. then after
about another hundred yds i could here it getting closer to me from behind. i picked up my
pace considerably but it kept up with me. upon reaching my truck in what was surely record
time i looked back to the edge of the woods and i could just barely see movement knowing i was
about two hundred feet into a field i felt comfortable taking a quick look through my scope
and i could just make out a large figure pacing back and forth just inside the timber line in
silhouette. when i realized it was upright i felt relief and thought one of my hunting
buddies might be playing a joke on me so i hollered out "that's a sure fire way to get your ass
shot" as i walked back to what i thought was my friend after closing the distance to about 60
feet i heard the most god awful bone chilling scream i have ever heard and i ran to the truck
and went back to the club house post haste.

I asked other members if they had ever heard or seen anything near there unusual
before i got some puzzled looks but a couple couldn't hide their thoughts and i noticed
possible familiar experiences in the looks on their faces. i never went into detail with them.
i do know we have four thousand acres subdivided into forty tracks each and you sign off on
the section you'll be in and that tract and the one on each side hasn't been hunted since and
members have actually buddied up or stayed at the house if they don't have somewhere other than
there to go to avoid the area. membership the following year dropped from thirty two to
seventeen despite all having considerable hunting success in the area.

Activities of Witness:  Hunting Deer

Description of Creature:      Large silhouette figure pacing back and forth and let out a God awful bone chilling scream.
 

Other Notes:      We have heard of similar things around a wildlife preserve near our club.
Several good hunting hounds walkers redbones and black and tans have gone missing in
the area. had one big blue tick on a lead with a three foot tie rod pulled up and dog and all
were gone.
