OBSERVED:    We have only lived here about a month and right away we started hearing strange howls and wooping late at night. Unlike anything I have ever heard before. The first morning my kids were catching the bus we were walking down to the road and we heard something walking in the trees and a rock bounced across the path in front of us. When we got down to the road and were waiting for the bus we could hear something growling and chattering. About a week ago we built a fire pit in a clearing away from the house, we were sitting around the fire making smores and we heard something stomping, grumbling and clearly chattering as it circled us for about 10 minutes. My kids were terrified, they ran into the house and I sat there till it stopped. The next day I was sitting on the deck early in the morning and I saw something dark and hairy climb down out of a tree and move off into the forest, I could not tell what it was. We have had rocks thrown at us when we were sitting on the covered deck, fly into the screen door. And hit trees next to us so hard the knock echoed.
