OBSERVED:    My friends and i were camping one night and it was about 1:00 am
and we heard the noise of something very heavy stomping its way in the bush
and snaping branches in front of it. We were sleeping near a lake and we
could hear all the frogs and crickets croaking but when we heard this thing
stomping they all stoped. It would have had to be something very large to
have managed to make such and impact on the frogs and crickets. Every frog
in the whole area where we were all stopped. Usually if a person walks
through only a certain number all stop. During the day before we heard this
my friends and i all heard what sounded like a cross between a gorilla and a
wolf howling. We asked our camp instructure what it was and he didnt know.
We heard this many times in one day early in the morning and when dusk came
over. We know for sure that it wasnt any one in our camping group seeing as
we were close to the other tents and we would have been able to hear them
unzip the tent. No one else had heard it and they all looked at us weidly.
The reason we must have heard it so well was because we were closest to the
bush. The night before our instructure had told us about food gone missing
and clothese found further up in the middle of the bush and they have no
idea what did it but just think that a person did it but we find that hard
to believe seeing as we were practicilly in the middle of know where.
Another story was told of a man who was sitting by the camp fire and was
about to go to bed and he saw this large figure emerge and sit opposite him
and the guy was so scared that he just stared at it and managed to build up
the currage to ask if the thing wanted food but there was no reply so the
guy threw some fruit at it and the thing took it and walked away but the guy
later said that he couldnt tell what it was because it too dark. People
think that it is a person but my friend and i never thought that it actually
might just be a big foot. Also cows have gone missing without a trace and my
friend and i thought that it was odd beacause it was a tall barbed wire
fence and how could a cow manage to jump it?!? (soz about our spelling)

Other Notes:    Not that we know of. But our instructure told us of two people
that has died in the lake and 10 yr old boys torso and a hand. This is true
because there were news paper reports in the Australian paper about this and
we found out about this when we were there although this did happen two
years prier before we arrived.
