TIME:

2:00-2:30 PM

LOCATION:   San Luis Obispo County, California

TERRAIN:    National Forest

OBSERVED:

We began to hike back to the car. (Roughly 4 miles away) My friend yells what was that! Pointing to a bush behind him. (I was leading). I blew it off saying something like "Don't worry man, I got you're back". We kept walking. Less than 5 minutes later a rock whizzed by our head. It came from up along the hillside, passed us by about 20 feet and rolled down to the running creek below. I instantly knew something was not right. We were the only two people out there I was sure of it. And no person in there right mind would climb up that steep incline through bushes upon bushes of poison oak. I looked at my friend as he looked at me. I said "bears don't throw rocks. Mountain lions don't throw rocks." I joked bigfoot. We laughed and continued. 50 yards later a rock hits the side of the hill and rolled down by our feet. The rock came again from up above us. Whatever was throwing the rocks was keeping up with us on top of the hill and making no noises. I picked the rock up and put it in my pocket. Now I wasn't joking bigfoot. I was thinking bigfoot. We continued walking. 30-50 yards later another rock. Still couldn't see what or who was throwing it. As soon as we turned our backs a 4th rock. We got the hell away from that hill after that one. As soon as we thought we were out of range we found a giant footprint almost twice the size as my feet (I wear size 9's). The one single giant footprint was headed to wear we just came from and we didn't see it when we passed the first time. My heart sank. My head felt foggy. I truly was scared. I didn't let my fear show to my friend because I am the outdoorsman and I didn't want to freak him out.(if he wasn't freaked out enough). The rest of the trek back to the car I had the feeling of being watched and followed. A feeling I rarely if ever had out in the bush. I think I now believe in bigfoot and it would take some guts for me to go to that same location again.

Additional Things:

I just have to note that I am always in the great outdoors and this hike was truly one of a kind. I am the type of guy who wants to find out more about species of plants, mushrooms, insects, animals, and now Bigfoot. My friend who was with me on the other hand doesn't want to talk about it with others and even with me. Which really hurts because we know what we saw. I have kept it bottled up inside for the passed 13 days and I decided that enough is enough and that is why I am here. (Venting if you will.) And it feels quite good to get it off my chest by telling my story. So for that I say Thank you.

Activities of Witness:

My friend, his dog, and I were looking for mushrooms (Boletus Edulis to be precise) and wild radish. We also went swimming above one of the waterfalls.

Description of Creature:   Never saw it.

Other Notes:    I wish I had a video camera to catch the rock throwing and a regular camera for the footprint.

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:

Back in January I saw one giant footprint. I would say 15-16 inches long. I joked bigfoot to a buddy. We laughed and continued. My experience on March 31st gave me a flashback to this.

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments N/A
