DATE:            10-04-01

TIME:               8:00 to 9:00 P.M.

LOCATION:     Outside Tampa, Hillsborough River State Park,
                   Hillsborough, Florida, Hernando County

TERRAIN:        Swampy
 

OBSERVED:    (Saw creature) Squatting beside river, with one hand in water.  Other I don't know -      (be)cause it freaked me out.   I did not hear anything, but it smelled like (catlitter) would best describe that odor.

I could not tell how tall it was, but it had brown looking red tint color.
I don't think it saw me, or did not care.
Anyhow, I left in a hurry.
