OBSERVED:    We were driving from Ocala to Palatka at about 11 at night when we met something walking along the side of the road toward us that looked more like a chimp than anything else, but it had a more upright posture and was thinner. It was about three and a half feet tall and had rather long redish brown hair.

My uncle was driving and did not say anything for about two miles.  I didnt say anything either because I did not want him to think i was seeing things.  About a minute or so later he said "did you see that?"  I said what.  Then we both decribed it.   We never told anyone else.  I waited so long to report this out of fear of ridicule.  It may have been some kind of monkey that escaped from Silver Springs since that is about 35 miles from site.  Really dont know.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):   Driving home from work.  My self and my uncle who is now deceased saw it.

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   About three and a half feet tall with long red brown hair quite upright in posture about the size of a chimp but thinner.
