OBSERVED:
Followed 18 inch footprints that were made the night before with a six
foot stride they sunk appr 4 inches in hard packed snow and were very detailed
with toes and arch visible this was in a road less area and the weather
or temp was 20 below I was snow shoeing up this drainage looking
for cougar tracts when I found these the most impressive part was this
animal came down a 200 ft almost cliff like drop off that was very hard
to follow and would have been impossible to fake these prints where it
went to my best of knowledge no one had went in their all winter
this was a very long and strenuous walk to get their I am a very experienced
woodsman and trapper and have been around all species of bears butt had
never seen anything like this I have a roll of 35 mm film of this
prints that I have put away mainly because all I got were Crazy remarks
for showing them I will try to find them and send u some copies !!
