DATE:    07/15/2001

TIME:     2:00 AM

LOCATION:   Shoshone County, Idaho

TERRAIN:    Wooded

OBSERVED:    My wife, family and I were driving east on I-90.  At about 2 AM, during perhaps a full moon (I am not certain now but it was relatively clear), both my wife and I saw something large, man-like walking on two legs cross the interstate from left to right (the oncoming traffic was separated from us by trees and rocks etc..not certain how far).  It had come down from the higher left side of the highway, walked across the highway and down the right side of the interstate.  We were traveling about 70 mph when we first saw it and passed it when it was just entering the woods on the right hand side.  Both of us knew we had seen a Bigfoot. We did not stop to investigate.

Additional Info:    N/A

Activities of Witness:    My wife was driving; I was talking to her while listening to music.

Description of Creature:  Tall, dark and walked upright. We believed it to be a sasquatch.

Other Notes:    N/A

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:    N/A

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments Upon Contact The Witness Added:  I do apologize if there isn't too much data to go on, but it is all that I (we) can really remember.  I do know that it wasn't extremely far in front of the vehicle since the headlights only shone a couple hundred feet.  Both my wife and I agreed that we had such an eerie feeling at the time; almost like chills down the spine because we didn't really expect to see something that was unknown to us like this was. I couldn't tell you any features or colors...it was just big and dark but did walk or 'sauntered' across the highway and was unconcerned about us as approaching traffic.  I don't remember if it looked towards the headlights or not or simply ignored it.
