TIME:  Late Evening

LOCATION:   Mayfiel, Kentucky, Graves County

TERRAIN:    Woods, gravel pit, and large lake

OBSERVED:  A large hairy black creature over six foot tall with glowing eyes ... it smelled bad too.
One evening about dark, my husband was taking tree limbs into the woods behind our house to discard them on an old dozer pile that was there.  He heard a noise that he assumed was deer running throught the underbrush.  He also noticed a bad smell like something dead.  He looked out into the maze of trees and brush and saw this big, dark, hairy creature there.  It was bigger than him and he is 6 foot tall 180 pds. He said it had small red eyes. It seemed to be approaching him.  He thought it might be a bear but there are no bear found in our part of the country. He came running out of that woods. He told me what he saw and that he wasn't going back to see what it was. I have never seen my husband  before or since that scared before in my life.
 

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):   Taking tree limbs into the woods behind our house to discard them.

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:  Large hairy black animal with long hair and glowing red eyes that smelled bad.

OTHER NOTES:  Tree limbs were being smashed
