DATE:    May 20, 1969

TIME:     Afternoon

LOCATION:   Lewis County, Kentucky

TERRAIN:    Wooded with farms

OBSERVED:    I was about 5 or 6 taking a walk with my older brother and sister. Near our house was an abandoned house, as we were about to pass it, we saw a black figure on the porch. My brother and sister ran and I followed them as fast as I could. Our Dad went back after he got home to check things out, but saw nothing. Around this time there were some strange sounds heard at night that Dad said was a wild cat. Also we raised a garden and we found that something was picking corn, taking it to the end of the garden, and shucking it to eat. On another note, my second oldest brother told me that when he was a boy he saw what he called a gorilla looking in the window one night. This would have been in the 1940,s or '50's

Activities of Witness:   We were taking a walk on a summer day.

Description of Creature:  About 5 or 6 feet, stocky, black in color.

Other Notes:    N/A

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:    I also remember my oldest brother saying that someone had seen a gorilla on Vanceburg Hill. This would have been in the early 70's

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments N/A
