LOCATION:   Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana

TERRAIN:    Wooded and Swampy

OBSERVED:

I was fishing in the XXXX area of Spring Bayou Management Area. At about 1:00 pm on a clear windless day, I heard something walking in the woods some 75 yards from my boat. I just happen to be at the mouth of a slough that extended into the woods some 150 yards. All at once I heard a sound that I have never heard before in my life, come from where I heard the walking. The sound was like a scream, but extremely loud and continuous. Whatever was screaming, was running quite fast. I was looking in the direction of the end of the slough, where there was a slight clearing, and the sun was shining through the trees. All at once, I saw a large dark brown figure streak past the clearing. Given the height of the surrounds under brush, no way this was a deer or 4 legged animal
