Bigfoot Sightings

LOCATION: Jackson Parish, Louisiana.
Not to far from Natl Forest and Natl Game reserve

OBSERVED: I lived with my then boyfriend and his mother in a very secluded and very wooded area. While living in this area I was told many stories of a creature that was seen frequenting this area of woods and bogs. My boyfriends family lived on a small farm in this area at one time complete with cows, chickens and a very large garden and large pond. One summer day his mother had been out to the chicken coop feeding chickens, as she was headed back to the house with her basket of eggs she looked in the direction of the pond and saw what she thought was a man bent down on one knee with it's hand cupped to it's mouth drinking water. It then stood up and it was then she realized it was not a man at all. She said it was very tall and very dark colored and hairy. When she saw the animal stand up she screamed and dropped her basket of eggs and ran into the house to call her sister and told her and her husband what she saw and to get over there right away. Upon arrival they could not find any evidence that the creature had been there. Another day my boyfriend's cousin was driving down the road in this area and saw the back of what they thought was a tall man with dreadlocks. Upon passing this man they saw that it was covered in hair and looked like a very tall ape. It was running/or what appeared to be jogging down the side of the country road. On another occasion my husbands aunt who lived about a 1/4 mile down the road from their farm were awaken one night by what they claimed was a loud scream that sounded like a women giving birth to a child. The scream was coming from the direction of their pig pens behind their house. Upon looking out their window into the night they could make out steam rising up around the pig pen like the breath you see coming out of your mouth when it is cold outside. They were to frightened to venture outside that night because of the volume of the scream, but the next day they checked on their pigs and one was missing from the pen.

Additional Things: Several more stories of strange things that went on in this area. My boyfriend claims that late one night he walked home from a friends house. (his friend used to walk him half way and then turn around and head back to his own house) Awhile after his friend left him he started hearing footsteps in the woods surrounding him on the one side of the road. Every time he would stop the noise would stop..he walked awhile hearing this as this thing in the woods followed him and then he took off running down the road to his house. My boyfriends cousin claims that on a frequent basis when she would go out at night to burn rubbish or leaves she had the feeling of being watched and on several occasions she would see red eye shine at a high level in the woods behind her house where she was burning.

Activities of Witness: Mother had been collecting eggs from chicken coop early in the morning. Cousin was driving down country road in daylight hours. Aunt heard screaming during the early hours of the night in autumn down by their pig pens. Boyfriend left friends house late in the evening walking down country road surrounded by forest. Cousin burning rubbish on her property just after sunset.

Description of Creature: Tall with black fur very athletic looking with lots of muscle. Walked on two legs and was very quick for it's size.
