RECEIVED: From Field Research Notes of Monster Hunter

LOCATION:   Northwest Louisiana
 

TERRAIN:      Open area around house, brushy areas on fence
 
 

OBSERVED:     I first heard of this report from this man's brother.  Though he told me where this family lived it took me a year to finally find his home situated in a very remote area.  I recieved this report in August of 2000.

The Story:  Sometime during the month of April 1999 around midnight, this man and his wife were awakened by what sounded, to them, as a dog fight.  As he got to the door the commotion had stopped so they returned to bed.

Next morning the lady was leaving for work and noticed her clothes were scattered on the ground.  She also saw that not only were the lines down but the T pole itself was down.  This T post is where they had a medium sized dog chained.  Their property has fence, (hog wire with two strands of barbed wire above), making the fence approximately five feet tall.

This couple found their dog on the other side of the fence approximately fifty yards from where he was chained.  This dog had a rip, single mark, from his rectum to his front left shoulder.  He also had been bitten through the back right leg.  They found tracks but could not make out what type of animal. The man thought the dog was gonna die but instead of killing his children's dog,  he decided to put the animal in the house where the kid's took care of it.

A few days later one of the boy's was outside playing basketball, late afternoon, when he noticed two small dark figures, approximately one hundred yards on the other side of the fence, he described as watching him.  He went into the house and he and his mother came to see what it was.  The lady said that she assumed it was two small bears.  One eating something, trash pile, and the other having it's hands, paws through the fence.  She yelled with one animal standing up and walking off bipedaly while the other on all fours.

When her husband got in from work, using a flashlight, he went to see if he could find any type of evidence or animal.  After about fifteen minutes he heard, what he described as a very loud scream, from the direction of a pond.  Since this time,  he along with family members,  have heard vocalizations that were unidentifiable to the man.  He works on a nearby ranch.

My Investigation:  It took me a year to locate this family, however, they live in an area where this Bigfoot type of creature has been sighted and reported.  I,  as the woman held the dog down, inspected this animal.  It had a single scar from its rectum to its right shoulder.  This cut seemed fairly wide, approximately three eights of an inch, but apparently not deep enough to injure interior organs.   The area she and her son saw these animals has been completely cleared with trash being hauled off.  The pond is approximately a quarter of a mile from their home.  This pond has thick brush, trees offering canopy with just several areas to get to the pond.  I did not see, find or hear anything strange.

Conclusion:  The scar on the dog could have been done by the barbed wire fence by the dog  either jumping, climbing or being thrown over it.  The T post being pushed or pulled down, having concrete, is a mystery because I did not see any of the evidence.  A question in my mind is how this dog got from this chain, tied to this T post, found laying on the other side of the fence, some fifty yards away.  The bite, if that was what it was on the dogs back leg, was healed, therefore not showing any clear details.  The dog is partially crippled in the leg.

From reports of sightings and strange vocalizations in this area it suggests that this could have possibly been done by one of the Southern Bigfoot animals.  However the evidence is old and inconclusive.

The man told me that he has always heard strange vocalizations while living here but paid little attention.  I have found this to be true from my own experiences along with other reports given.
 

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):  Sleeping when the commotion occurred
 
 

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   The two small animals were dark in color, hairy, the one that walked off bipedal was estimated to be around four to five feet tall, slim built.  Witness was approximately one hundred yards from animals.
