DATE: July 2, 1982
TIME: Approx. 12:30 a.m.
LOCATION: Louisiana,Vernon Parish, Near Leesville
TERRAIN:Wooded
OBSERVED:
At approx. 12:30 A.M. my 2 cousins and myself were asleep in our tent area
when one of my cousins awoke and started to yell . At this time ,
my other cousin and I both woke up and we observed a 6 - 6 1/2 foot , brown
- short haired creature standing at the edge of our tent area . At
first , this thing just stood there and made no aggressive moves and made
no noise . Aprrox . 30 seconds went by , then the creature turned
away from us and slowly walked away into the woods toward the creek . Needless
to say , my cousins and I did not sleep the remainder of the night . When
daybreak came , my cousins and I broke camp and left the area .
On our way out , we did observe some broken tree limbs located immediately
around the tent area . Have not been back to area since this incident and
have heard of no other strange incidents in this area .
Description of Creature: 6 - 6 1/2 foot , brown - short haired creature
