LOCATION:    N. Andover Massachusetts, U.S., Essex County

OBSERVED:    I was out mountain biking in a thickly wooded area with a friend
of mine (I'll refer to him as sunshine).  Being extreme bikers we
were well off the beaten path. When as we rode up along side a
brook we heard  faint groaning and grunting sounds. We proceeded
to travel closer till the noises could be heard clearer. We were
a bit concerned thinking the sounds were almost human like.

What we saw is something we'll never forget..A huge creature, probably
6'6" to 7 feet tall, very thick around the chest and belly area.
It was fully covered in thick dark hair (including the forehead
and face). The creature was leaning over the mutilated rear of
deer. It was tough to tell what was going on but we certainly
weren't going to hang around and find out. Sunshine and I pedaled
away as fast as we could and from what we could tell the creature
never took chase.  We never reported the encounter and to this
day only tell the story to close friends. The two of us now joke
and refer to him as The "TCO" (Tall Cool One).

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:    Quiet, low grunt.  A huge creature, probably
6'6" to 7 feet tall, very thick around the chest and belly area.
It was fully covered in thick dark hair (including the forehead and face).
