OBSERVED:
2 friends and myself were camping/bird hunting in Maine woods in the (location
with held) region. My friends were asleep, and I awoke to what sounded
like wood hitting a tree. It was loud enough to wake me, and I tried to
wake my friends but they were deep asleep from drinking that night. I looked
outside the window of the camper and didn't see anything, but it occurred
too me that it was something I saw on a bigfoot documentary, called "Wood
Knocking." I knew this immediately, and it sounded exactly like what I
saw on the documentary. I tried to think what else it could be, but couldn't.
It's rugged country, and VERY secluded and wooded. There is no other explanation
for the sound. I woke again at 4:17 am to the same sound, but coming from
a different location and a bit further away. I told my friends in the morning,
who thought I was nuts, but it's the truth, and what I heard.
Activities
of Witness: A day of bird
hunting during the day and beer drinking at night. Myself and 2 other friends
retired for the evening around 11:30 pm. We were very tired from hiking
and hunting that day.
Description
of Creature: Didn't see anything,
only heard the wood knocking. Very eerie sound.
