LOCATION: Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kent County
 
 

TERRAIN:  Very steep ravine with stream at bottom with woods
 
 

OBSERVED:    I heard the weirdest most scary scream.  I heard it repeated several times on two nights at approximately the same time 12:00 to 2:00 AM.  I described it to my wife who was away as the last sound a woman would make suffering a violent death.  Each scream lasted a second or two and were spaced from 5 to 30 seconds apart.  I immediately thought about calling the police but each scream sounded identical to the others so it wasn't human.  I have three dogs and they were going nuts from the sound.  I went out side and the sounds where coming from the ravine behind and to the right of my house.  I don't believe it was bigfoot but I'm at a loss for any other explanation.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):  First night was asleep and the noise woke me.  I have three dogs and they went nuts.
Second night I was reading and I heard the same thing
 
 

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:  I have camped and backpacked for 30+ years all over the US and Canada and I have never heard that sound before.  It wasn't a human, cat, coon, rabbit, deer, owl, coyote, hawk, or dog

OTHER NOTES:  Wonder what will happen tonight?
 
 

 OTHER SIGHTINGS IN THIS AREA?:  The first night there were more screams 8 to 12. The second night there were 6 to 9.
