OBSERVED:
I thought about submitting this and then changed
my mind. However, I just read the encounter that someone submitted from
Kent County about the screams they heard sounding like a woman dying and
I had to write. In the early summer of 2000 my ex-husband woke me up at
about 3 in the morning wanting me to come and hear something. We went to
the sliding glass door and stepped outside. About 100 yards to the south
there was this God awful screaming going on. It sounded like a women being
killed, it really freaked us out and we thought about calling the cops,
but it came again and again sounding the same every time. The more we heard
it the less it sounded like a woman and the more it sounded like some animal.
He wanted to go o ut there with a flashlight and I said "NO WAY". I was
pretty scared and there was no way I was going out there. All the dogs
(we had 4 of them) were going nuts, but there was no other sound. No crickets......nothing!
It was one of the freakiest things that has ever happened to me. I don't
know if it was a Bigfoot or not, but it was not a normal animal. Having
been raised in the area, my ex knew all of the local animals and this did
not sound like any of them.
Activities of Witness:
We were on the back porch listening to the
screams in the middle of the night. Kids slept through whole thing....thank
God!
Description of Creature:
Did not SEE anything, but heard the most horrific
screams.
