TIME: 9:00 pm
LOCATION: Francois
County, Missouri
TERRAIN: Rocky
Terrain, in a deep ravine
OBSERVED: I
heard what sounded like large thudding sounds coming from
what seemed like it was about 150 to 200 feet from the edge
of the river. I was out their with a friend fishing. At
first I thought someone might have been chopping firewood,
but then I thought it wouldn't make sense to do that at 9
pm. The sounds continued for the next 20 minutes as we
continued fishing. they would come every two to five
minutes. It seemed like the noise was following us as we
floated down the river fishing. at about 9:45 pm we heard a
low pitched yell come from the river bank about 60 feet
behind us and saw movement in the brush. We started paddling
hard as we were now scared witless. That is when the loud
thudding started again. Now it was a closer source and the
sound clearly sounded like someone or something was smacking
two large branches together with force. I saw a bigfoot
documentary yesterday that said that researchers believe
that bigfoot will do this when they feel the need to scare
something off and that is what prompted me to report this.
We are not the only people to have had strange experiences
on this stretch of the river.
Additional Things:
All day we had noticed areas where
it looked like a large animal had moved through the brush.
Small saplings and branches had been bent or snapped
Activities of Witness:
we were
fishing on the river from 12 noon until the incident.
Description of Creature: We only saw what appeared to be a 7 to
8 ft tall figure moving through the brush.

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General
Area) Notes:
I am not
from the area originally but I have friends who live their
and family as well. Many of the people in the area wont fish
on that part of the river because of strange things that
have been claimed about the area.
