DATE:    July 7, 2000 -- November 16, 2006

TIME:     9:00 p.m./1:00 a.m

LOCATION:   Franklin County, Missouri

TERRAIN:    This area is full of cedar trees and some hardwoods.

OBSERVED:    There have been many encounters that began in 1980 up to and including this past week.  There were guttural growls that got louder and louder. My mind was racing and my feet were frozen to the ground it seemed. I have never been so scared. I finally got to the house, and told my family about it. It happened the next night, around 11:00 p.m. A couple of days later, my grand children and a friend were outside playing by the garage, when this thing began growling again. Probably around 5:00. My 2 oldest grandsons went into the woods and were going to try to find the monster, Well, they heard it and threw their guns and flashlights down and ran stumbling to the house. When my youngest son was 17, he and his friend were hunting with their 22's, and were walking up the power-line on grandpas- farm. They saw this hairy thing about 5-6 foot tall and it would shake the cedar trees, very hard to shake ?? squirrels out of them. The boys became very frightened and ran to their truck to go home.  It would be rather difficult to write all of the various things that have happened. A number of members of my family have had various encounters with this creature. The latest was this past week when "it or they' were killing another animal by my sons' pond. The sounds were awful. I had been staying with my daughter and her husband while my other daughter and I were having a new home built. I had just come back from Montana, and parked my truck by my son-in-laws barn. I was walking to the house, when this very loud guttural growl began and it got louder and louder.

Activities of Witness:   Hunting squirrels.

Description of Creature:  Big 5-6 foot tall, brown, hairy and standing on two feet, shaking cedar trees.

Other Notes:    I took my grandson fishing in the creek where we live, and I heard what sounded like a person walking through the gravel, but the sounds were VERY loud like it was a very large and heavy "person". I grabbed my grandson by the hand we ran to the truck with me dragging him. The hair was standing up on the back of my neck.. I drove upon the bridege and looked down the creek, but saw nothing.

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:    My daughter and her husband were here last summer visiting her brother, and around 9:00 p.m. they went to their car and heard a sound that started out like a pig grunting, then it got louder. They immediately got into their car and left.

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments My sons fiance was lying on the couch around 1:00 in the early morning. She had the screen door up a bit on the door, and heard something like a person screaming, then above this she heard very loud sounds like "a hundred wolves" howling and the other animal continued crying for its life, and the other animal began to "howl" louder, a dog was barking in the distance, then all of a sudden it became dead silent. This was just below the house by my sons pond. His fiance has also seen "something " walk" by their picture window in the early morning hours. There are other "encounters" too numerous to mention. I believe these creatures live in the woods close to my sons house, as most of the sounds and encounters are about that area. This is in addition to another report I had written 2 days ago..
