REPORT RECEIVED FromThe GCBRO Online Report Submission Form.

DATE:    O6/03/03

TIME:     Evening

LOCATION:   Mississippi, Hinds County

TERRAIN:    Pasture around a pond

OBSERVED:    I just would like to say, I am not the type of person who goes around saying I saw something when I didn't see it. It was evening time, and I had just finished an afternoon of fishing. I didn't have much luck so I decided to pack it in and maybe try again the next day. My truck was not parked too far away so it didn't take me long to get my gear loaded up, but I did have to make two trips. Like I said, my truck wasn't far from were I had been fishing. I made it to my truck with the first load and by the time I turned to get the rest of my gear I saw it. Plain as day and clear as anything I had ever seen in my life. I could not believe what I was looking at. It was a hairy creature crouched down at the very pond I had just been fishing at. It appeared to be drinking. I never believed in the existence of "Bigfoot" until then and at the time I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking at. For some reason it seemed completely oblivious to my being there. I mean I wasn't far away at all and it seemed not to even care that I was there. It must have stayed there drinking water and looking around for at least 2 full minutes. I was standing right out in the open, why it didn't see me or chose to ignore me I can't say. When it finished its' drink, it made some sort of snorting noise, stood straight up, and walked away from the pond and out of sight. I stood there for what seemed like an hour. I absolutely could not believe what I had seen. I have lived my whole life trying to be sensible and not believing in aliens or the loch ness monster or bigfoot, until now. I didn't report this to the authorities because I was absolutely afraid that I would be perceived as one of the people which I used to call a crackpot or just plain crazy. After that I started looking on the internet and seeing what I could find out about bigfoot. That's when I found this web site. I decided to write this report because I had to tell someone. I now know that the sasquatch or bigfoot or whatever one wants to call them, do exist.

Activities of Witness:   I had been fishing most of the afternoon. I was loading my gear to leave when I turned and saw it crouched down at the pond I had just been fishing at drinking or at least seemed to be drinking. I don't know about any tracks because when it left I left and I never went back, and I haven't been back fishing either. It has rained a lot since then, so, I don't know about any tracks.

Description of Creature:  Only about 6 to 7 feet tall, slender and its' hair was a medium brown in color.

Other Notes:    I have seen pictures on the internet of the creature the man took in california. The creature I saw was not that husky. This creature was only about 6 to 7 feet tall. It was slender and its' hair was not dark but a medium brown in color.

Additional Notes or Comments Upon contacting the witness they had this to add:

Since I returned home I have heard others in my area mention that something has been seen in the area where we live.  What I saw would make a believer out of the most hardened skeptic, but unless others see it for themselves then I would just be regarded as just another person who saw something else and just misinterpreted it. I appreaciate you contacting me though. It was a frightful sight. I hope that you can find some evidence of it. I am not however, going back to fish in that pond again.
