REPORT POSTED TO GCBRO WEB SITE ONMarch 15, 2013

DATE:    10/18/12

TIME:     8:20 p.m.

LOCATION:   Itawamba County, Mississippi

TERRAIN:    Woods, Hills, and pastures.

OBSERVED:    First there was a crashing in the trees.  I thought at first that it was a dead limb falling out of the trees. It made a loud "thump" sound when it hit the ground. then something large and dark with reddish tinges in the hair, with no visible neck was on two legs running across the road toward the woods in front of our house. I sat on the porch a few more minutes and my grandson was on the porch with me. I asked him and my son if they heard the sound that fell from the trees. they both said no. In a little while there was the sound of something big and heavy moving in the tall weeds at the edge of the yard. then what ever it was started running fast toward the road. It was running on two legs and moving pretty fast. All I got was a glimpse of it running from the outside of the yard toward the  road.  My grandson and I ran back into the house as fast as we could. The next morning there was a whole footprint and a partial footprint in our back garden. It looked like a human footprint, but was oversized and barefoot. 17" long, 6" wide at the ball, and 5" at the heal. My son took pitchers of the footprint, and found a thick hair on the fence. I'm 65 years old and this is the 4th time i've seen it on my place. could there be more than one of them? The face looked more human than animal. It hasn't tried to hurt anyone, but it can scare the daylights out of you. It starting to come closer to the house each time. It has an odor that I can't describe.

ADDITIONAL THINGS:  N/A

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:  About 7 1/2' thick hair with a reddish tinge, No visible neck.  The arms were not as long as described in pictures, and it singed it's arms when moving.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS:   Fear. My grandson wanted to get the gun, but I wouldn't let him.

OTHER NOTES:    I suspect that it's bedding area may be at or near the abandonded trailer near our home, the dogs seem to be afraid of it. It makes strange screams and noises when it comes near.

HISTORICAL OR NEIGHBORING AREAS:  Yes, at least 4 times in the past 5 years.

ADDITIONAL NOTES AND-OR FOLLOW-UP COMMENTS Upon contact the witness had no additional information to add to this report.
