TIME:    Daylight

LOCATION:  Hanging Dog Indian Reservation, Murphy, North Carolina
                 Cherokee County

TERRAIN: Mountains

OBSERVED:  My uncle is Cherokee Indian who lives in Hangingdog. He told me
one time he was hiking in the mountains he came across some large tracks in
the mud.  I asked him what they looked like.  He told me that they were 14 to 12
inches long and looked like human prints with the five toes on each foot.  He
also said it was very cold that day why would anyone be barefoot on the
mountain.  This sighting of tracks is not far from the hiker sighting in
Cherokee County North Carolina.
