TERRAIN:    Woody, hilly with stream, lake  
 

OBSERVED:    Wife took our dog out for her usual morning bathroom call. she headed for the east side of the house. there is a row of trees marking our boundary line, and we have a line of cyprus trees between the house and tree line. as her and the dog neared the corner of the house, the dog stopped and went into a low cringe and my wife said she smelled an odor like musty sweaty like a truck driver who hadn't taken a bath in a month, mixed with an odor of a skunk. she and the dog went immediately in the house, and she did not go to work until daylight.

12/23/08, around 7:30 p.m. i took the dog out for evening bathroom call, in the small wooded area between us and the house west of us, i personally heard a low grunt, after i heard sound like someone hitting a tree with a baseball bat in the woods behind the neighbors house about 100 yards. after the grunt the dog drug me to the house.   8:30 p.m. , while we were in bed we heard scratching and a couple of thumps, we checked and could not see anything.
