DATE:    3/10/2012

TIME:     10:30 pm

LOCATION:   Rutherford County, North Carolina

TERRAIN:    Wooded

OBSERVED:    Heard 3 very loud screeches followed by dogs barking...saw nothing!  Did not sound like anything I've ever heard before.  It was hair-raising!  About 4 days later mid-morning I heard two long mournful howls across our street on a hill where deer (group of 5) often feed.  I was just getting dressed after a shower and hurried to finish and went out on front porch where a family member was rocking in a chair and reading a book.  I asked her if she heard the howls and she said no, but she did hear branches being walked on and breaking and saw brown fur retreating out of sight.  She assumed it was our usual deer ( group of 5) and continued reading.  She is hard of hearing and did not hear the howls but did hear the branch-breaking sounds.

A few days later as I got up one morning about 8 am, I heard one wood knock on the empty wooded lot next to our home.  There is a creek on that lot at the bottom of the hill which dead ends into a cul-de-sac.  Western NC has had many sightings.

Additional things: Deer cross our property all the time and if it was a Bigfoot I heard, the scent of deer must be prominent.  Since then, I haven't seen our deer, but that does not mean anything if I don't happen to be looking out the window when they cross.  But, it could also mean that the scent of a Bigfoot lingers there and they avoid the area now.  I think I hope to really see one but then again, it is scary!

Additional Info:    N/A

Activities of Witness:    on porch reading

Description of Creature:  Patch of brown fur retreating...assumed it was a deer but didn't see enough of it to be sure.  Sitting on front porch at time reading around 9:30 am

Other Notes:    I have gone on internet to listen to sounds of bigfoot and the screeches and howls are there to listen to...if they are genuine

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:    after first sounds of three screeches, a few days later two howls, branches snapping on floor of woods, something with brown fur retreating

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments Two other incidents same day I emailed you....First one March 27 about 6:30 pm.  I was on porch again and across the street and up to the right I heard something hard to describe.  So later I went on line to You Tube about Bigfoot sounds and found one that matched perfectly but  the one I heard  across the street was so much louder because  of being  so close.   The You Tube video was labeled "Was that a roar, you decide" by "timbergiantbigfoot" and tho it lasted over three minutes you hear the roar withing the first 15 seconds and another not quite as loud soon after.  That's what I heard.

Later that same evening after dark around 9 pm, for the heck of it, I went out on porch again and listened for sounds again.  The sound came from the same place but was very very different and much softer.  I'd describe it as a combo of gurgling, bubbling, babbling.  It didn't last long at all.  I am going back on You Tube today to see if any recordings of Bigfoot sounds match it.

I told my husband that,so far, the sounds sound like nothing I've ever heard, are brief, loud mostly and so hard to describe.  He heard the three screeches the first time and had no explanation.  We lived in the heart of the Adirondack mountains out in the woods by a pond for 13 years, so I recognize most animal sounds....bears, coyotes, wolves, screech owls, etc.
