DATE:    July 12, 2006 
 

TIME:     2:30 A.M. 
 

LOCATION:   Swain County, North Carolina 
 

TERRAIN:    wooded rugged mountains the middle of nowhere  
 

OBSERVED:    I woke up two thirty in the morning and suddenly heard a low and high pitched yell and moan. It was a distant yell with a strong shrill. There is elk in the area but this was not an elk there sound is abvious. Whatever this was it had very stong lungs and was a great distance away. I am not if this was a bigfoot or not but I do not know of any other animal that sounded like it did. 
 

Activities of Witness:   Plenty of hours of sleep

Other Notes:    I KNOW THERE IS ELK IN THE AREA BUT I HAVE HEARD RECORDINGS OF ELK AND MY OCCURANCE DID NOT SOUND ANYTHING LIKE IT
