TIME:              02:00 AM

LOCATION:     New Ipswich, New Hampshire, Hillsborough County

TERRAIN:         Very large, uncut open field outlined by trees

OBSERVED:
Saw deer gathering in this field near the road. Two had crossed into this field just before my headlights caught their unconcerned eyes. In fact one or two would glance up periodically but busied themselves eating the tall, green grass.
Then I noticed beyond them in the inky darkness a pair of staring, fixed RED eyes(!) Much too tall to be a red fox indeed...suddenly the deer exploded like frightened quail but at this point I couldn't see who exactly owned those red eyes! These eyes absolutely refused to stray from my headlights. And here in the North East NO animal does THAT unless it is in the middle of the road! And "red" eyes?

Only if a fox and very rarely a cat might have that reflection too. And there's cats galore out all night here! So oddly after I came back I am a bit higher now but again I see these strange transfixed, pair of eyes just staring from the far end of this same field. I never saw any animal do that before! A grassy knoll now blocked this animals' eyes out so I backed up and prepared to grab my binoculars but the "eyes" were gone. This pair was yellow like the deers only when a car is no longer percieved as a threat the deer will occasionally glance up while eating. This was highly unusual.

At least for me and I see deer every other night out in that area. The red eyes were shocking enough. I didn't get a clear enough look at whatever it might have been? But was it "bigfoot"? I did see two sets of red eyes out there. One set paid rather close attention to my approaching automobile while the others were disinterested. The curiously staring other pair of yellow eyes caught me by surprise too. Deer just don't do that when they're very safe. I have no idea as to what it was or these "eyes" contained or belonged to-what?

The excessive staring got me a bit. Very unusual. Even deer do not do that for long. At some point they always break off contact. These eyes did NOT. I have no idea what it was. I never saw the body as it refused to get into my headlights properly. There was something oddly intelligent about them....very strange...I just don't know...no animal around here just stares at an automobiles' headlights. I have seen virtually every North East animal around here at night. None stare like that. Still there must be another explanation? Could it have been Bigfoot? Or two of them? Very strange. How did it get that close to the deer before they panicked and ran? They virtually cleared the field something they never did before the countless times as I drove by. This must be part of the overall mystery surrounding bigfoot -if indeed that's what I saw....again?

I never heard a thing as I drove by in my car. It was just those strange staring red eyes...

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESSES:     Delivering newspapers.

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE: I never saw it except for those red eyes and they were red indeed. No accident of that. The height of the eyes may have been in the 6 foot range. When I came back the other, yellow set, may have been much taller at that distance I saw them which was a good football fields' length or so....with its' back against the trees. I'm NOT saying I "saw" bigfoot....I saw EYES that could have belonged to one given the strange behavior....it's a probable is the best we could conclude?, In the late 80s or early 90s I lived about 3 miles south of here when I heard a very strange scream of sorts unlike any I've ever heard before. This area with the field is approximately 7 miles east of the reported sighting (twice) of a bigfoot in broad daylight back in the early to mid 80s-but not by me then...but in Jaffrey in the Squantum area of town...and about 5 miles west of the earlier reported possible Mason sighting (by me)....

OTHER NOTES: Well I've updated Mary Green on the bigfoot print about 2 miles north of where I now live that's about 12 miles from the N.I. possible sighting as aforementioned.

There was a time about 1995 I 4 wheeled up North Pack Monadnock and once up there I got a very strange feeling of being watched. This was in the afternoon and my mind said "bigfoot" but I sort of argued with myself about that. I kept growing uncomfortable by the minute. I never saw anything nor was I looking but I had the creeps and was all too happy to leave well before we planned to....it's a feeling one does not easily ignore.
