Bigfoot Sightings

OBSERVED: We were using my friends telescope on a small peninsula in the middle of the swamp. The swamp was surrounded by very steep wooded hills on all but the side the peninsula outcropped from my friends apartment building. We were observing the stars for about a half an hour. There was no moon visible so it was very dark. It was cold and the swamp was semi frozen. All of a sudden we heard a very loud screaming growl coming from across the swamp about 200 yards away coming from the edge of the woods on the opposite side of the swamp. If memory serves me correctly I believe it was to the southwest of our position. What ever the creature was began to take individual steps in our direction. The steps were distinctly bipedal and as it took steps through the swamp we could hear it loudly crush through the Ice in the swamp. It made it's howling scream continually as it stepped through the swamp coming in our direction. Whatever it was appeared to be very angry. Dan and I grabbed our gear and ran the 100 or so yards to his apartment all the while the beast kept coming our direction. We were completely freaked out. Dan and I spent a lot of time in our lives in the forest and up until that time had never heard a sound like that.

Additional Info: 8 years later I was at my computer in my home office listening to a radio broadcast about big foot. They played some vocalizations and all of a sudden all my hair stood up on end. It was almost the same exact sound Dan and I heard that night. I ran into our bedroom, woke my wife and made her listen. I couldn't sleep.

Activities of Witness: We were using a telescope observing the stars in the clear night sky.

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes: I had a different instance about 10 miles from this incident.

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments: Upon Contact The Witness Added this Extra Information: I had another incident not all that far from that location on route 101 one evening 2 years later but I don't remember the exact location as i pulled off the side of the road to take a leak.
