OBSERVED:
I was 14 at the time.My father wanted me to
drive deer for him opening day deer season.A friend he worked with had
some property just for hunting. So we drove to the property (I remember
that the road was gravel,name of road unknown). It was still pretty
dark out. It was like this road was cut through the woods.
My father and I stop, and waiting for it to lighten up a bit before going
into the woods. He had been here 2 other seasons,and was briefing
me on the woods,and what to do. I was wearing his previous years
big game tag that hunters wear on there backs. I had an old 12 gauge
pump action, and he gave me 3 shells (to keep in my pocket) so the gun
was unloaded. You had to be 15 to hunt Big game, so I was along for
the grunt work. It got light enough so I headed into the woods.
It was really cold that morning, but not alot of snow on the ground, just
patches, think it might have been snowing very lightly that morning, but
cant be sure. I went in quite a ways. and then turned heading east
towards my father, who was a long ways away. I was walking through
a deep gully, where the banks were probably 20ft with a steep slope.
I climbed up the one side bank,and saw a tree that had fallen. So
I sat down against it for a break. I dozed off,and suddenly woke
to a loud "CRACK"noise. I sat there panning the area with my eyes,and
thats when I saw this huge man like ape thing standing on the ridge across
from me. I remember being panic stricken at the size of this thing.(guessing),
it had to be at least 8 ft. It had a massive body with very long
arms, its left arm was holding a small tree. It was dark brown in
color, but on the fronts of its thighs, it was a lighter color, almost
blonde. I could not see its face due to all the thick matted long
hair hanging down.l could see its breath through the hair,which made me
realize it was real. We watched each other (I could tell that it
knew I was there) probably 4 or 5 minutes, neither of us moving a muscle,and
then it all of a sudden took a step towards me. I jumped to my feet,
and ran faster than a race horse. I looked back a couple times,but
it wasnt following me.

Description of Creature:
8 ft tall / high cone type head / 500 to 600
lbs ? / dark brownish hair all rough and matted / long matted hair covering
its face / long arms with huge hands (4 fingers & 1 thumb) on each
/ massive trunk area (wide) / no visible neck / massive legs,but they seemed
short compared to the upper body./ no odor what so ever.
