REPORT RECEIVED: From the GCBRO Online Report Submission Form

DATE:          May, 1984

TIME:           Early morning, between 12:00 and 3:00 A.M.

LOCATION:   10 TO 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF WATONGA,
                  OKLAHOMA IN BLAINE COUNTY.

TERRAIN:      Wooded

OBSERVED:  I WAS FIFTEEN AT THE TIME. SCHOOL HAD JUST FINISHED AND MY DAD HAD A GIRLFRIEND AND SHE LIVED OUT IN THE COUNTRY SOUTHWEST OF TOWN. ONE DAY SHE PICKED ME UP WITH HER 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND WE SPENT THE DAY TOGETHER. SHE ASKED IF I WANTED TO GO TO HER HOUSE AND SPEND THE NIGHT.

GOING TO HER HOUSE WAS NOTHING BUT WHEAT FIELDS AS YOUR DRIVING DOWN THE GRAVEL ROAD IT BEGINS TO WIND AND THE WHEAT FIELDS BEGIN TO RISE ABOVE THE ROAD. THIS WOULD EXPLAIN WHY SHE DIDN'T LIKE TO BE OUT THERE IN BAD RAIN STORMS. ONCE YOU GET TO THE LITTLE WHITE HOUSE NOTHING BUT LARGE WOODS AND TREES WITH A LARGE CREEK BEHIND HOUSE. THERE IS A LARGE DROP OFF OR EMBANKEMENT BEHIND HOUSE THAT GOES DOWN TO CREEK.

AS WE WERE GETTING READY FOR BED THAT NIGHT I WAS GOING TO SLEEP IN HER ROOM WHICH WAS TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE HOUSE. SHE WOULD SLEEP WITH HER DAUGHTER IN HER DAUGHTER'S ROOM TOWARDS MORE THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE. IT HAD ALREADY BEEN A HOT SPRING AND IT WAS VERY HOT AND HUMID. ALL HER WINDOWS WERE OPEN. THE WINDOWS OPENED INSIDE MEANING THE GLASS PART IS INSIDE THE ROOM SO THE ONLY THING BETWEEN ME AND THE OUTSIDE IS THE SCREEN.

NEEDLESS TO SAY I WENT TO SLEEP ALREADY FEELING A BIT NERVOUS SINCE IT WAS PITCH BLACK OUTSIDE IN THE COUNTRY. I DID FEEL A LITTLE SAFE SINCE SHE HAD FOUR DOGS RUNNING AROUND THE YARD. DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS I WOKE UP TO THE SOUND OF THE DOGS BARKING AND WHALING LIKE IF THEY WERE SCARED. THE DOGS WERE NOT TO FAR FROM THE HOUSE BUT THEY WERE IN THE DIRECTION SOUTH OF THE HOUSE THE REASON I KNOW THIS IS BECAUSE THE WIND WAS BLOWING FROM THE SOUTH.

ALL OF A SUDDEN THE DOGS WERE BARKING AND RUNNING TOWARDS THE HOUSE AS IF SOMETHING WAS CHASING THEM. BEFORE I REALIZED IT THEY RAN PASS THE HOUSE COMPLETELY AND EVERYTHING WAS DEAD QUIET. I HEARD LIKE A CREEKING NOISE UP AGAINST THE PORCH BY ONE OF THE WINDOWS LIKE IF SOMETHING HEAVY AND BIG WAS LEANING AGAINST OLD WOOD. BY THIS TIME ALL THE HAIRS ON MY NECK AND BACK WERE STANDING. I ALSO REALIZED THAT ALL THE CRICKETS HAD STOPPED CHIRPPING. I STOOD AS STILL AS POSSIBLE IN THAT BED WITH THE BLANKET OVER ME AND SWEATING LIKE CRAZY BUT NEVER TOOK A LOOK FOR FEAR THAT I WOULD SURLY SEE SOMETHING LOOKING AT ME.

IT FELT LIKE HOURS WENT BY BUT IN REALITY IT MUST HAVE BEEN ABOUT HALF AN HOUR AND THAT HEAVY NOISE I HEARD LEAVING AWAY FROM THE HOUSE THE CRICKETTS BEGAN TO CHIRP AGAIN AND THE DOGS CAME BACK TO THE HOUSE AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. I SURE DID APPRECIATE DAYLIGHT THAT DAY. I WENT AROUND THE HOUSE LOOKING FOR ANY FOOTPRINTS OR ANY EVIDENCE OF ANYTHING AND FOUND NOTHING AT ALL.

I LATER TOLD THIS TO MY DAD'S GIRLFRIEND AND SHE LAUGHED AND TOLD ME THAT SHE HAD HEARD A LOT OF HOLLERING AND SCREAMS DOWN IN THE CREEK AND THAT HER DOGS ALWAYS GOT SCARED.

SORRY TO SAY THAT I NEVER REALLY DID SEE A BIGFOOT BUT I TRULY BELIEVE THAT ONE CAME TO WATCH ME IN THAT ROOM.

Description of Creature:  Heard but not seen

Activities of Witness:   Sleeping, woke up by dogs barking, trying to go back to sleep

Other Notes:   CRICKETTS STOPPED CHIRPPING, DOGS BARKING AND WAILING IN FEAR AND RUNNING PASS HOUSE. EVERYTHING TOO QUIET FOR BEING A HOT OKLAHOMA NITE.

OTHER OCCURRENCES IN THIS SAME AREA:  I WOULDN'T KNOW. MY DAD AND HIS LADY FRIEND BROKE UP AND SHE MOVED BACK TO ARKANSAS AND I NEVER WENT BACK TO THAT PLACE AGAIN LET ALONE AT NIGHT.
