OFFICIAL GCBRO RESEARCHER FIELD REPORT: 
As Written Up on Saturday Morning September 13,1997, the morning after the incident.

I have just arrived back from our latest Bigfoot adventure.  Earlier yesterday, we went to southern Oklahoma and were accompanied by Dale Berry also of the GCBRO, and Two other Anonomyous Individuals..

We picked a location where there has been activity in the past and placed cantelope and chicken out as bait in several areas around where we were stationed.

Just after dark, we started hearing easy steps being taken through the dry leaves and rock beds of this area.  Several times there we heard growls, ranging from a low deep guttural growl behind us, to a higher pitched growl in front of us.  These growls continued along with the footsteps that we kept hearing, and at approximately 9:35 pm, the creature seemed to throw caution to the wind and started walking hastily through the leaves, right into the open, through the grass.

I, unfortunately, was the only one who saw this creature.  Because of the direction the sounds had been coming, everybody hit the spotlights for that direction, but he was moving at such a fast pace, that he was approximately 50 ft. to the right of that location by the time the lights were turned on.  I saw the creature from my peripheral vision to the right side, approximately 100 ft. away from me.  I hit my video camera and my flashlight to try to tape the creature, (My spotlight was in the hands of one of the other individuals, which messed up any chance of me spotlighting the creature) but, again, because of his fast paced walk, he managed to step just outside of my vision back into the wooded area and proceeded down into a deep ravine.  I was hot on his tail with a dim flashlight and my video camera going thru all the clicking stages they go thru when you turn them on and start them to recording.  Needless to say I missed the chance on recording the creature.  He was too fast and I too slow with the camera and not enough light was had on my end to have gotten anything of any value.
 

What I observed while in the process of turning on my video camera was a creature approximately 8 ft. tall, from the side profile I would say he was 22-24" thick from his back to the front of his chest.  I do remember he had what appeared to be a very large head.  His head was as thick from front to back as his chest was.  He was light colored.  This could have been a shade of gray or tan, I'm not sure.  I did not get a good close view of the creature.  It was dark and what I saw was highlighted by its light color and the fact that the moon made him stand out against the dark woods behind him.

When the others realized they had went the wrong direction they followed me over to where I was at at the top of the ravine,  to catch film of it in the ravine, which was to no avail.  He had covered too much territory too fast.
We could hear him walking away from us in the distance, way down the ravine, but the foliage coverage would not allow us to view very far into the ravine.  This ravine is at least 200 feet downhill at an angle of approximately 140-145 degrees.

We, in turn, examined the path through the grass which this creature had traveled, and compared it to a path that the others had walked beside it, and the creature had knocked the grass down enough to where it was at least 2 1/2 times the size in damage that a single man could do walking beside it in the same grass.

I can say that this creature, in my sight, took three steps and covered approximately 15-20 feet in these three steps.  I did notice that the creature did not bob up and down as he walked.  It looked as if he glided across the ground, with his arms swinging and his legs stepping in a similar fashion to a cross-country skier.

After this, we decided to still lay in wait for another possible encounter.  At approximately 10:50 pm, we heard a shrill raspy whistle.

This totally caught all of our attention, for we knew that at least one creature was still in the area.  About 5 minutes later, we heard a large "thud" or "pop" of hard wood slamming against hard wood.  This was followed a short time later by another whistle from another direction.  This was shortly followed with a pig-like "oink" sound from a completely
different direction.  We "guestimated" that there were two to three creatures in the area from the sounds that were coming from different angles at too short of a time for one creature to get to each point without it making enough noise that we would know it had moved.

We planned to stay however long it took to get something definite on video tape as proof of our endeavors, but the area we were in was frequented by young lovers, starting at midnight on several occasions.

It seems that they had a private spot approximately 1/8 mile from where this was all taking place, and after they started showing up the sounds started fading away to where we only heard a few growls after that, and that was it.  We waited for another 3 1/2 hours and decided to call it a night, and return to base to plan for tomorrow night's activities.
 

Activities of Witness:  We was baiting in an area of known Bigfoot activity in hopes of luring one up.
 

Description of Creature: Bulky, about 8 feet tall.  Large head.

Other Notes:  We ventured into this area one other time, and had some exciting events happen.  That will be in another report for next months posting.
