Second hand account here:
A
fellow who was in his early 20s was hunting with his wife & younger
brother off Mcgowen creek....they dropped the younger brother at the bottom
of a hill and drove to the top preparing to drive some deer down to the
younger brother.....At the top they heard a scream followed by a gunshot
coming from down the hill where the younger brother was...After calling
out with no success, they got in their truck and drove hurriedly back down
the hill where they found the younger brother walking along the road without
his rifle while crying and shaking...
He
told them that he had been working his way up the forested hillside and
found himself face to face with a Bigfoot...He screamed, dropped his weapon
which discharged, then turned and ran down the hill....The BF did likewise
and ran right by the panicked boy....It crossed the logging road and then
slid down the steep embankment on it's butt while holding it's arms
out....
The
younger brother would not get out of the truck but the older brother hiked
up the hill and found the rifle...He also found a number of footprints...
Across the road and over the embankment he found a huge butt print skid
mark in the mud, going downhill with hand prints in the mud on either side
where it had steadied or slowed it's descent......
