TIME:     Around Noon
 

LOCATION:  Butler County,  Pennsylvania
 

TERRAIN:   Wooded rocky hills in the rural countryside.
 

OBSERVED:      I was hiking across a ridge one afternoon in October when I came across a white tail
deer carcass. This animal looked as though it had been torn apart by dogs or something. There
was a strange smell, like a musty odor all around the dead animal. At first I thought it was
something from the carcass, but when I looked further down the slope, I saw Bigfoot.  I thought
I remembered hearing that these creatures were vegetarian, but this one was definitely
defending this carcass. It was crouched down about 30 or 40 feet away from me. The air was
cold, and I could see it's breath as it exhaled. It was facing me and staring at my every move.
As I slowly started to back away from the deer, the creature made some sort of grunting noise.
Then it stood up and that's when I knew for sure what I was looking at. I felt very scared
because I was not carrying any kind of firearm. This is something that you never think you
will see. And when you do, it changes your life. The creature started to move toward the deer,
and needless to say, I started to move away. As I got to a part on the ridge where the bigfoot
could not see me, but I could still see it.  I watched as it continued to devour the carcass.
It used a large stick to help cut the meat away from the bone. I watched for about twenty
minutes, until I saw the being stand up, and look directly at my position. I don't think it
saw me, but I believe it knew I was there. The thing then started off down the opposite side
of the slope, which eventually would bring it out behind me. I didn't stick around any longer.
I quickly made my way back to the road. I only told a few people about this. No one, as you
know, would ever believe it.

Other Notes:    The sounds this animal emitted were nothing I have ever heard before. I am an avid
outdoorsman.
