DATE:           March 30, 2002

TIME:            9:00 A.M.

LOCATION:   Pennsylvania, Clinton County

TERRAIN:      Very rocky and wooded with old growth forest

OBSERVED:  I decided to go out in the woods to get away from the house for awhile and just walk around for the pleasure of it. I  got to one point on the ridge about 50 yards away from the top and I heard this constant banging sound, it sounded like something was beating a piece of wood in between two trees like a person would do a dinner chime or something similar. I was curious as to what would be making that noise and started towards the area where the sound was coming from. When I started getting closer to the area it stopped real fast and got a very spooky quiet. I stood there looking up at the area for a while just to see if I could spot anything up there, but didn't see anything and decided to move on alongside the ridgetop about 50 yards away from it.

It was then I got the feeling of being watched by something, but I couldn't see anything up there for the life of me. I started walking again and then I heard several branches being broken by something walking alongside me on the top of the ridge. I started to get a little nervous about this and kept a constant eye on the top of the ridge for anything that might come into view. I still didn't see anything and started walking again, but whatever was up there would stop when I did and started walking again when I started walking. This continued for about half a mile alongside the ridge, and I was starting to get a little scared about this to say the least. I thought that I might be getting stalked by a mountain lion and was still trying to spot what was up there, but still couldn't see anything. When I started walking again and stopped up there to look up towards the top again, I heard this real loud "snap" and a large tree limb came flying down the side of the ridge and passed me by about 20 feet and smashed into a large boulder and busted into a hundred pieces. Needless to say that was "enough" for me, and I started down the ridge as fast as I could go, and didn't stop until I got to my car! Of all the times I have been researching and looking for bigfoot, this was probably the most frightening experiences I have had .

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):   Just decided to take a walk out in the woods to get away from the house for awhile.

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:  N/A

OTHER NOTES:   I did hear a bird sound that was similar to a large hawk. The weather was nice and warm, after three days of snow and heavy rain. I have found several tracks in the surrounding area and numerous tree breaks and markers.
