winter

LOCATION:   Minnehaha County, South Dakota

TERRAIN:    Wooded

OBSERVED:

Every winter when I would go outside to sled down my hill I would find HUGE footprints. like at least a size 15 shoe im not good at geometry. It dawned on me one year when I was about 8 that i can see toe prints like the formation of a barefoot not like a big ol boot and thats what always struck me as odd and noticeable as a child I was thinking who is walking around back here without shoes in 4 ft of snow and it is always in the same spot my parents backyard is like any other neighborhood all of the backyard are connected so its not like you would take a shortcut thru there.

Additional Things:

after a few years I would go and search other peoples backyards and I would only notice it in this general vicinity there where dogs everywhere else... and my neighbors dog fred would bark at night occasionally for short periods of time i used to sit in my sunroom out there and would sometimes think i saw something running but there would be nothing. one night i came home from a friends and saw a big black shadow by the cars. it stopped and then ran in the direction i would always find the footprints
