LOCATION:   Gibson County, Tennessee

TERRAIN:    Wooded in spots between fields of corn and beans.

OBSERVED:    I was visiting my mothers house. She keeps my dog for me because I was living very close to an interstate and my dog is large and loves to roam. When I arrived I found that my dog was missing. Over the past 6 months we have had two other dogs go missing. We have ten acres that we have let grow up since 1997. Its very dense, but relatively young cedar forest. Also there are many blackberries and old trails. Much deer and wildlife. I made a walk around the property calling out for my dog, and looking for remains. The only good thing about a missing pet is not having to dig a hole. I called my brother up to get him over to help me look for the dog. He said he had her with him, much to my relief. The next day I went out to walk around again. At the very back of the property I noticed two trees had been bent over at the edge of a trail that went deeper into the trees. They had been done this way over night. I walked around to the other side and there was a teepee style structure that had been erected on the night before. I was the only human that had been down there for these couple of days. My brother dropped my dog back off and I let his dog off the chain and let them run. The dogs always run strait into the woods and bark and chase whatever is in there. They would not go anywhere close to where the trees began. A few days later I returned, this time going deeper into the woods down an old trail. I found a large barefoot print. I wear a size 13 and it was about three inches longer and much wider than my foot with my boots on. I took my mother down to see the print. She told me to lock all the doors that night and she makes sure they're locked every night since. This morning is the last day of June. I went down there this morning with my dogs. I walked all the way into the woods. Whatever made the structure is gone now. The dogs are still weary but not like they were the last two weeks.

Additional Things: There are times when something calls out kind of like an owl, but its not quite right. Game cams have captured raccoons, deer, coyotes, bobcat, and even a large wild boar. I didn't think there were boar in this part of West Tennessee but there are.

Activities of Witness:   Looking for dog.

Description of Creature:  N/A

Other Notes:    Back in the early 80's my step father heard something scream. It disturbed him. At the time he had many rabbit dogs in a pen. They wouldn't come out for nearly a week.

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:    N/A

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments N/A
