DATE:          1975-1976

TIME:             11:00 to 12:00 night

LOCATION:       Morristown, Tennessee, Hamblen County

TERRAIN:            Mountains (Highway was coming through at the time.)

OBSERVED:  I'll just tell everything here and you can do with it what you want to. It was around 1975 or 76 and I was a little boy and my father had a wood shop near our house. It was a full moon with a little light from the house and shop. It was a clear night and the moon shined bright.
Dad had shut the shop down and was walking to the house. I was riding my bike to and from the shop. There was also a small metal building that was beside the shop. I went all the way down to the metal building and came to a complete stop because I heard a low but deep growling kinda sound.

I slowly looked over my left side to see light casting on a set of long, very hairy legs and feet. You couldn't see the feet like you can mine and yours. This things feet was completely covered in hair. It kinda leaned outwards from the shadows and I seen an outline of what I took to be a human.
I think it wanted to be somewheres else and so did I. I turned tail and took off screaming as hard as I could telling dad there was a monster behind me to run as hard as he could to the house.

Well dad always laughed it off but him or mom couldn't explain why at night I always had to have someone with me every minute of every day and for the longest time I would crawl up on a foot stool and refused to get off it. I will take a pollygraph test to all I'm telling you. I'm 32 now and we moved back on the farm above Morristown and here about 1 year ago we all was setting outside and heard a whistling sound that made everybodys hair stand on end. It was coming from the heavy wooded area across the street.

There are wild dogs in there now but when I heard it I got that old feeling back again. I told everybody to get in the house as fast as they could and they did. I broke out the 308 rifle and didn't sleep at all that night. If I had seen what I thought I might would have seen, you would have all the proof you would have needed. I would have shot it as hard and as fast as I could.
I'm just about tired of running from this thing.

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   long, very hairy leg and feet,  feet were completely covered in hair, an outline of what I took to be a human, made low but deep growling sound.
