OBSERVED: I A friend of mine and myself decided to rent a cabin in the Smoky Mountains, in Tennessee for the weekend just to get away on like a mini-vacation.The first night we were there everything seem to be fine, but the second was not so peaceful.  It started that night while we were playing pool, my friend had stepped outside around 11:00 pm or so to check on the water in the hottub and heard a horrible commotion going on with what sounded like some dogs.  He yelled for me to come outside to listen and said you gotta hear this.  I went outside and I heard nothing.  I asked what it was that he had heard and he said there was these dogs growling and howling and almost screaming like. I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it, because I didn't hear anything, also we were in the middle of no where at the very top of this mountain and the closest house was at least 4 miles away, so I dismissed it as his imagination.  Later on that night my friend had went to bed and had already fallen asleep while I was cleaning up a little bit to get ready to leave the next day. I went around locked all of the doors to the house and shut all of the blinds to the windows except for one it was the big patio door that was on the backside of the house. I made sure it was locked but there were no blinds to shut because it was supposed to scenic, it overlooked a set of mountain tops and the deck extended off from it. At the edge of the deck there was a straight down drop off that went down to the bottom of the mountain we were on.  Then I turned off all of the lights, so that it was completely dark inside of the cabin.  I decided to smoke one last cigarette before I went to bed and this was around 5:00 in the morning.  As I was standing there in the kitchen smoking I heard a loud thump coming from the back deck, so I looked up and I was kind of shocked as to what I saw. There was two red glowing balls about the size of a half a dollar that almost seemed to be floating in the air. I rubbed my eyes at first thinking I was just seeing spots or something, but they didn't go away.  Then I thought well it was the reflection of the fire from my cigarette, so I waved it a round thinking it would move too, but the objects didn't move like it should have if it was a reflection.  So I decided to take a closer look, thinking to myself what in the world could that be way out here?  I walked up to the glass patio doors to get a better look, and boy did I ever.  They weren't balls they were eyes, two big red glowing eyes looking right at me and then they blinked, this thing didn't look human at all, it looked almost cat like, but this thing was huge.  I just froze, at first I couldn't believe my eyes, then I slowly backed away from the doors and then it made a deep almost demonic growl, needless to say, I turned around and ran into the bedroom and jumped on the bed and woke up my friend to tell him what I saw.  He didn't believe me, so I told him to go and look for himself and he no way. He fell back to sleep and a few minutes later I heard something walking back and forth across the back deck trying to get in the house.  It first tried the door that went to the pool table, then it tried the patio doors and then it tried the door that went to the bedroom. I could here the doorknobs twisting and shaking and the footsteps pacing back and forth from one door to another.  I woke my friend up again and asked him to listen, when he sat up in the bed and said huh? It stopped.  I asked him didn't you hear all of that he said no I was asleep.  I told him what I had heard and he listened for awhile and heard nothing he said I am tired and I'm going back to sleep. Luckily enough it started to become daylight and I didn't see or hear anything else after that, and of course we left that day. I have no idea what that thing was, but I will promise you one thing I have no intentions on going back to that cabin ever again.   Do you have any idea what this thing could be?    Please let me know if there have been any other occurrences similar to this in that area, and what this thing that I saw could possibly be.
