DATE:  2001

TIME:  12:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.

LOCATION:  Tennessee, Williamson County

TERRAIN:  Wooded

OBSERVED:   A friend and I were walking around in the woods with our reenacting muzzle loaders (a 1853 Enfield Rifle and an 1861 Springfield). We had accoutraments on as well (cartridge box, cap pouch bayonet) because we did intend to shoot at stuff. Nothing living, trees and mud clumps mostly.  Well ,after an hour or so we had hiked pretty far into the woods, and we got to a place where we had seen some bigfoot signs  a year ago. There  were no signs present at this time. Well, we got to hiking some more and got very deep into the woods, we were about 3 miles away from my house. We then felt a very strong feeling of being watched, the air on our necks stood up, we got goose bumps and even our eyes began to water it was so strong. My throat seemed to get tighter as well. We looked around but could see nothing. But we knew what ever it was was watching us and moving. We would feel like we were being watched from one angle and in a few seconds later it would come from another angle.

The worst part about this whole feeling is that after a few minutes the feeling was coming from three or four additional places. Meaning it was coming from about five different locations. Then at the top of a hill (we were in a sort of valley) we saw a figure standing right in the path, just staring at us. We still had the "being watched" feeling coming from other directions mind you. It was hard to tell whether or not it was hairy because the sun was behind it and the trees behind it were pine so any hair would easily blend in with the pine needles.

After at least thirty minutes of being completely petrified, the feeling of being watched and the figure disappeared. We then bush whacked all the way toward home. After that we thought "screw the path!" and went through the thicker parts of the woods. This was our first big mistake. As we entered one of the thicker parts of our journey the feeling of being watched came back and this time we heard foot steps no more than thirty feet  away from us.

After a short time it too went away. We then proceded on toward my house. There is a large hill behind my house and we were now at the top of it, and could see my house. We turned around to have one last look at the valley in which we just exited and could see four to five large dark objects moving towards us up the hill. This scared the xxx out of us!!! We both fired our rifles. I pulled out my Colt and began firing it like crazy towards the objects moving below us. This did not scare them, in fact they began moving even faster up the hill. Well ,we were scared xxxxx, and began bookin it down the hill towards my house. I reloaded my colt and began firing again. We wasted no time in getting to the house, but being there did not make us feel any safer. So we ditched our gear in the driveway and jumped into my car and sped off towards xxxxx downtown. As we entered, my friend ,xxxx, who works there asked us why we were so white and shaking. We told him we almost got into an accident. He believed us. We got our coffee and went outside. My  friend believes that we saw some type of ghost. I am sure it was Sasquatch.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):  We were just hiking hoping to shoot some long range targets

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:  IIt was large, the one one the hill was maybe seven to eight feet. The others I could not tell but they moved very quickly, even for walking
