DATE:        01/05/83

TIME:         Mid Afternoon

LOCATION:    Atlanta, Texas, Cass County,  Hwy 77 near Louisiana State Line

TERRAIN:     Wooded

OBSERVED:   During the big snowfall in 1983 my Dad, Brother-in-Law and I were riding three-wheelers on a pipe line right-of-way near the Black Bayou bottoms.  We got off the three wheelers near a checkpoint on the pipe line where valves and gauges were coming up out of the ground.  We all noticed a very large foot-shaped track in the snow and began to look more closely and follow the tracks.  These tracks were approximately 14" long and were at least 10 - 12 feet apart from one to another.  They went down the middle of the pipeline and came up to a creek and went to the right into the woods.

There were numerous deer tracks just inside the woods with urine and deer pellets all over the place.  These tracks came up to the deer tracks and seemed to follow the deer tracks off into the woods.  We followed until we lost the tracks all together.

Still live in the same area and have heard vocalizations at night that didn't sound anything like the usual night time creatures (mountain lions, bulls, cows, etc.)
