Report Posted To GCBRO Web Site On:   July 1, 2006

DATE:    June 23, 2006

TIME:     About 5:00 PM

LOCATION:   Lavaca County, Texas

TERRAIN:    The pasture is very thick with brambles and thorns. There is a clearing by the fence that leads down to the ravine.

OBSERVED:    I was walking down to the bottom of the ravine when something black and very large went up the ravine about 100 feet away from me. It was going up right as I was going down, so I didn't get a very good look at it.

Activities of Witness:   I was looking for snakes in the ravine.

Description of Creature:  Black, with shiny fur, and very large.

Other Notes:    Sometimes i can hear something moving around in the brush ahead, and I have found large indentations in the mud that could be footprints, but they aren't clear enough to make out.  One night something brushed on my window, but I don't know if that is related..

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:    N/A

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments N/A
