Reported by: Confidential

Report Received From: The GCBRO Online Report Submission Page.

DATE:    April 15, 1998

TIME:     Around 2:00 am

LOCATION:   Henry County, Virginia

TERRAIN:    Wooded

OBSERVED:    At the time, I was still living with my mom there in XXXXX.  Presently I am married with a daughter of my own and I am 21 years of age. I remember it very vividly. I think the experience will remain in my memory forever.

Unfortunately, I can't verify that this was a bigfoot that we saw, but it most certainly wasn't a human or an animal. It was around
2:00 in the morning and my mom and I were returning from an unsuccessful venture which is quite embarrassing, but since it is the truth about what happened, I suppose I have to include it here. (Edited out, believe me, you wouldn't care*).
So, then we headed home and this is when the event occurred. My mom was pulling under the carport (which is basically just a wooden roof supported by 4 wooden columns? I guess you'd call them? As she was pulling in I was looking towards the back of our house, not looking "FOR" anything in particular, but that's when I saw this large creature running down the hill away from our house. It went so fast it was like a blur but under the streetlight I could see that it had a dark brown, if not almost reddish/rust color to the body
and it was hunched over and it ran FAST!!!

By the time I seen it, around the same time my mom was turning off the headlights, and I said "Mom, WHAT is that??!?" and she immediately looked to where I was pointing and turned on the headlights to shed more light on the "creature" and by that time all we caught was a glimpse of it before it disappeared into the dark woods.

I was so scared!  It ran so fast it almost looked like it's feet didn't even touch the ground.  My mom and I were so scared to the point
that we didn't know what to do.  We sat in the car for a few minutes discussing and comparing what we had seen.  If you guys contact me, I can give you my mom's contact info and she would probably be willing to give you her description of the event. We sat there in
the car, not sure of whether we should go on in the house or just leave and go to a relatives for the night. After we had sat there in the car with the doors locked for several minutes just talking and watching and waiting to see if we would see anything else, we came to the conclusion that we knew it wasn't a deer, or a bear, or even a human and we both agreed that it was the most supernatural thing we had ever experienced.

Now, my mom is the type of person who doesn't just get scared over nothing. I am convinced that it may have been a bigfoot in our back yard and maybe we had startled it upon our return.  All I know is that I had never seen anything like it before, and have never seen anything like it since then. For the rest of that night my mom and I stayed inside with the doors locked, the windows locked,
the curtains drawn, lights on, and phone at hand until 6:30 that morning when the sun began to come up.  It really shook me up and I will never ever forget this experience.

To this day, just discussing it makes my hair stand on end. I apologize if this report is too lengthy, I just didn't want to leave out any
details.

Activities of Witness:   Riding in the car with my mom, arriving home

Description of Creature:  Running upright, large, bulky, hunched over, dark brown or rust in body color, tall, just guessing I would say about 5 - 6 1/2 feet tall when hunched over, VERY FAST

Other Notes:    N/A

Additional Notes and or Follow up Comments Upon contact the witness had no further information to add to this report.
