OBSERVED:    I stepped out onto front porch of riverside cabin and heard Heavy running footsteps and then a big splash, as if something really big was being dropped into the water. Then swimming/splashing.
 

Activities of Witness:   My friend and I were working on some school work late one night. When I started to go outside and grab something from my car I heard "the beast " as we called it. I was extremely freaked out after the noise, especially considering it was not the first time something like this had happened, so I shut the door and finished my project without what I had intended to get.

Other Notes:    Numerous accounts by myself and friends. No actual sightings, but many more instances of hard running and crashing through the woods, & splashes into the water. Usually at night, though one time during the day I had just come home and heard "running"; in my backyard so I ran around back to check it out.  I didn't catch whatever it was, but there was a large tree limb that reaches over a deep creek bank violently swaying in the air with a cluster of leaves falling around it.  It was at that moment that I dismissed the creature we'd always joked about as "The Beast" as a deer or bear.  It IS something else.

After discussing my concerns with several neighbors and friends, it came to my attention that there have been claims of other sightings/evidence of such a creature in Warren County and other surrounding areas.  I felt obligated to do some research of my own and therefore submit a report.

I would be extremely interested in any information you can provide as to how I can truly determine what I'm dealing with here.  What to look for? How to react? Ways to live peacefully, perhaps, with this creature.   If this is really what I think it is, I don't want to mess up an incredible thing.
