DATE:

TIME:           11:00

LOCATION:   Austonio,Texas, Houston County

TERRAIN:      Wooded

OBSERVED:   It was around eleven at night.   I was with my cousins at their house.
My uncle wasn't home yet from work and one of my cousin's was at his freinds house down the highway about two houses down.  There was a thunderstorm and the power went out so we sat on the couch.  About five minites later we heard a dog barking then something was rubbing on the back door.   We each got a bat and searched the house.  We both met in the kitchen and walked toward the front door.  Then we heard a deep growl (dog still barking) kind of like a couger would make.   We paniced.   The phone lines still worked so we called my cousin's friends house and told him to come home.   He said no.  So we decided to sprint to their friend's house.  We ran out the door and out the gate. The second house down we heard the growl again on top of the house.
We looked up and saw a very hairy cat-like creature.   Its fur was grayish black about five to six feet in length and three to four feet high and had a long tail.

ACTIVITIES OF WITNESS(ES):  Sitting on the couch and the power was out

DESCRIPTION OF CREATURE:   Three to four feet in height, Five to six feet in length, grayish black fur, very hairy long tail.

OTHER SIGHTINGS:   No, not that I've heard of.
