Reported by: Confidential

Report Received From: The GCBRO Online Report Submission Form.

DATE:    08/15/83

TIME:     Noon

LOCATION:   Dutchess, County New York just outside Poughkeepsie

TERRAIN:    Wooded

OBSERVED:    I saw a 'little person" in NY state once with my uncle - at the time he was in the process of openly mocking my interest in sasquatch I was about 10 -- we were driving and he was dorking around going "look a skunk ape! A SKUNK APE" as we drove pointing at trees and stuff

He calmed down after about 10 min and then we approached what looked like the rear view of a skunk  (you know we saw the black bushy upright tail) walking along the 2 lane county road we were driving on.
But as we approached within 20 feet we realized it was the back of little mon-chi-chi like bipedal hominid because it turned around a looked up at us driving with a little pug face and kind of smiled

We both saw it and we got really really quiet for 1/2 hour and then were like "holyfucjingshotdidyouseethat!!!???!"

I had forgotten completely about this until he reminded me about it last year as we were discussing his plans to move to Washington. I told him that if he moved to the MT. Baker area he'd see a sasquatch and he said "don't you remember when we saw one in Poughkeepsie" instantly this memory came back to me.
