TIME:     Afternoon 
 

LOCATION:   Manitoba, Canada, east side of spruce woods provincial forest 
 

TERRAIN:    A trail that leads down to river flats 
 

OBSERVED:    A friend and i were driving down the trail when a large black cat panther crossed the trail in front of us.
 

Activities of Witness:   Driving down a trail. 
 

Description of Creature:  It was about two feet high, and about five to six feet long.   We only saw it for about four seconds but we both described the same thing to each other.
 

Other Notes:    I work with a woman who claims to have seen a bigfoot south of portage in 1975.
 

Other (Informational or Encounter History in the General Area) Notes:    There have been the other cougar sightings in southern manitoba but very few black ones.
