LOCATION:   Wayne County, West Virginia

TERRAIN:    Wooded

OBSERVED:    My Brother #1 told this to me last night.  Up the hill from his house sits a small home with an elderly man living alone there. Down the hill on the other side from his house, this man's nephew lives in a trailer. This nephew stopped my brother yesterday evening wanting to talk to him about something that had happened to his Uncle this past Sunday morning around 5 a.m. His Uncle had been awakened by a large commotion near his house. He comes out and shoots 4-5 shots up into the air. (This man has previously been robbed.) He told his nephew that someone (he saw no one) had tried to rob him and had thrown his weedeater, his chainsaw and his 4-wheeler over the hill! He heard nothing else after the gunshots were fired. To myself and my Brother this doesn't seem to be the work of a human. I might also tell you that this man takes frequent trips up the mountainside with his 4-wheeler and chainsaw. He regularly cuts firewood there and transports it with a small trailer on his 4-wheeler. I have to wonder if our hairy friends are not too pleased with his intrusion on the land, and with his cutting their cover, the timberline and all the noise the chainsaw and 4-wheeler make! So they perhaps paid him a little visit trying to make their views known!  LOL! My Brother said he offered no explanations to his neighbor after being told this story, other than we hear the dogs going wild most nights.

I recently saw my niece and she told me about what she thought was a white bigfoot. She said she was sitting in the living room watching TV, when she saw something white just above the creek bank in the trees. She said she got up and opened the front door for a better look. She said that the animal then growled twice at her. She said she could see hair moving and that the color of the creature was not a pure white, but a "dingy" or dirty white, almost sandy in color. I had her to try to imitate the growl and it was pretty intense! She is now a firm believer in the existence of these animals.
