OBSERVED:    My grandparent's have a summer place in XXXXXX, Arizona (white Mountains). When I was a child I would go stay with my grandparents, along with several other cousins. I was always the "star" grandchild. Some of my cousins had hurt my feelings, so I told everyone that I was running away. I ran from the area where my grandparents trailer is located. I ran up the mountain in an area where a fresh stream flows. I hadn't gotten far up when all of a sudden I saw this creature-a gorilla it was not-it was too human like. He looked much in color and facial features like the wookie in Star Wars. He just glared at me. I glared back at him. I sensed that he meant me no harm. He merely sat on the other side of the stream glaring back at me. He was seated with his knees up and his arms wresting upon his knees. He was a large creature, I would guess somewhere around 7 ft. After just glaring at him for a good minute or more, some fear began to wallow up inside. I ran quickly down the mountain and back to my grandparent's place. I have been fearful that there would be no such sightings in the area where mine took place. Finally, I got up the courage to research the web (tonight) about bigfoot sightings in the area where my chance encounter occurred. To my relief, I am not the only one.
